Tuukka makes a transition to Yonoton from Mynt.io / Sterly, where he has worked as a COO.
We at Yonoton family are thrilled to welcome Tuukka to our team as our new Reseller Director. To help you get to know him better, we asked him a few questions.
1. What attracted you to Yonoton, and why did you choose to join the team?
“I had already had Yonoton in my peripheral vision while working in the industry. I was quite aware of Yonoton’s impressive growth and innovation (and a couple of ridiculously good references!). Being familiar with the industry, it is evident to me that Yonoton’s omnichannel is the winning approach. Yonoton is innovating in POS, restaurant management and payments in a way rarely seen in the industry. I knew that this was a team whose colors I would be excited to represent (although the hot-pink shirt will take some getting used to as a Finn, whose idea of flamboyant is white shoes). "
2. What excites you the most about leading the reseller program at Yonoton?
“While Yonoton’s reseller network is already shaping up to be quite extensive in Finland and elsewhere, I see an opportunity for impressive growth through our resellers in the SME segment, especially with Yonoton’s new à la carte features. The market is ripe for modern and advanced omnichannel solutions, and I see Yonoton’s product portfolio as well placed in the market as both a better and more affordable solution compared to some established legacy players. I believe I have what it takes to make Yonoton’s current and future resellers see the same opportunities."
3. Can you tell us a little about your career journey and what led you to this role?
“My background is quite entrepreneurial and building things from the ground up is right up my alley. Additionally, I have spent the last few years working in the industry in similar functions and am ready to bring my expertise and ideas for scaling this part of Yonoton’s business. The market for Yonoton’s products is massive but fragmented, and I believe a network of committed regional resellers is crucial for growth. The role seems equally challenging and rewarding and I can’t wait to make my own impact!"
4. What strengths and experiences do you bring to Yonoton in your role as Reseller Director?
"I believe my strengths lie in my ability to foster strong relationships, and in my strategic vision for growth. I am also very much a tech-minded systems-thinker, who can spot opportunities in improving processes in a way that supports scaling a SaaS business. I understand what it takes to build a network of committed partners and empower them with the processes and systems they need to succeed."
5. On a more personal note, what do you enjoy doing outside of work?
"I believe it is crucial outside of work to take the time to disconnect from the digital world and experience the physical one. My favorite pastimes include trekking, camping, sports, cooking and reading."
6. Extra question: What’s your secret super power that not even your mom knows?
"This is a weird one, but I can create anagrams in my head. For example, “Tuukka works at Yonoton” could also be “Tuukka knows Toyota ironing”.
