Moominworld follows the path of most well known Nordic theme parks such as Norway’s Dyreparken, Denmark’s Fårup Sommerland, and indoor park chain Busfabriken (Sweden, Norway and Denmark), which trusts Yonoton’s market leading omnichannel solutions for digital payments at restaurants and theme parks.
Moominworld will implement over 30 Yonoton POS and self-service kiosks at the park. Also Yonoton’s new all-in-one handheld POS solution will be taken into full commercial use. The tap-in payments on SunMi’s Android devices are powered by Softpay technology together with the payment acquirer NETS.
"We have a lot of seasonal employees at the park and point-of-sales’ ease of use is really important. By centralizing all sales channels on the same Yonoton platform we aim to reduce manual work steps at the park, improve the quality of the collected data, and improve the user experience in the customer interface and internally", says Tomi Lohikoski, the CEO of Moominworld.
The digitalization with the objective of improving the customer experience, started already in 2020 with the integration of Moominworld magic wristbands and Moominworld’s app, a solution by Yonoton.
"We have been developing our omnichannel platform in cooperation with the Moominworld for a long time. We are excited to launch our point-of-sale, kiosk and self-checkout solutions to Moominworld for the benefit of their customers and staff", says Olli Tapola, the Account Director of Yonoton.
